In the event of an emergency, the Pinch Hitter Course is designed to teach a NON-Captain how to save the day. While this course does not train you to be a certified Skipper - it fully prepares you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to act as an emergency replacement skipper.

Some pe  do not like to be at the helm because they are unsure of how things work. The pinch-hitter course provides enough information to make yachting fun for everyone by ensuring that both the skipper and the non-skipper are comfortable sailing a vessel.

This is also a great course for safety purposes in case of an emergency

Pinch Hitter Course Focuses on Emergency Procedures:

• Basic skills to operate vessel safely, controlling course and direction of vessel.
• GPS Navigation to track where they are and where they need to go 
• How to communicate with the US Coast Guard in emergency situations 
• Docking the vessel under varying weather condition

If you regularly sail with another non-skipper, such as your spouse, friend, child or business associate, consider the benefits of an emergency back-up skipper. 

Mariner safety and preparedness should never be taken for granted and should always be utilized while departing, underway and docking.
